Overview
Furness Care Services is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to join their team at a well-regarded residential care home in Ulverston. You will provide person-centred care to elderly residents, supporting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and dignity. Flexible shift patterns are available to suit your lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care including washing, dressing, and mobility
- Support residents at mealtimes and monitor nutritional intake
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship
- Observe and report changes in residents' health or wellbeing to senior staff
- Maintain accurate care records and contribute to care plan reviews
- Follow infection control procedures and health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- A genuine passion for caring for elderly people
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential — full training provided
- Good communication skills and a patient, empathetic manner
- Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including some weekends
- DBS check required (can be arranged by employer)
